Muslim and Struggling with Porn
With the ever-increasing accessibility of explicit content in the digital age, we discuss the issue of pornography with Abu Musa, of My Tazkiyah. We are joined by Abu Musa, who in his journey of doing youth work, saw porn addiction as a major struggle affecting marriages and the Muslim community at large.
My Tazkiyah is the place where Muslims struggling with pornography addiction and sexually destructive behaviours can find recovery and freedom. They have an 8 stage Program that has been designed to accommodate Muslims. This program has very high recovery rates and has proven to be successful in helping sex addicts reclaim their lives.
In this webinar, we discuss the impacts of lockdown, isolation has had on the community they support. How pornography can be a cut-off from reality, an escape or release. We discuss the success stories of sobriety and how pornography for many is only a sign of work that needs to be done to address deeper, underlying issues.
