Sharing Our Stories
Our stories hold powerful truths. Truths that can challenge falsehood. Truths that bring hope. Truths that pass the test of time. Collectively by sharing our truths we can bring forth CHANGE. Strong Support is delighted with the brave entries of stories we have received but would love to hear more from our members and encourage them to share. No one is a “perfect story”, we are all stories in work as we understand ourselves and our creator. However, many of us can attest to the power of God in our lives in directing our attractions towards a God-centric lens. A great example of the power of stories is that of the CHANGED Movement.
In this webinar, we discuss with Co-Founder Elizabeth Woning how the CHANGED Movement started and how it is now an established international, grassroots network for Christian men and women who were #oncegay. They have bravely shared vulnerable, authentic and sometimes raw accounts of hope and prosperity in their journeys as they questioned their sexual and gender identity.
You can find the CHANGED book which is a compilation of inspirational stories of Christian men and women who have come out of homosexuality. “CHANGED” began as an effort to highlight the uncommon journeys of men and women who have confronted that question in their own lives. Finding themselves sexually attracted to the same sex, or uncertain of their gender, the men and women featured in this book took unusual paths of self-discovery that led to transformation.
The goal isn’t “straight”; the goal is human, redeemed.

Elizabeth Woning is the co-founder of Changed Movement, a ministry designed to highlight the stories of men and women whose journeys with Jesus drew them out of LGBTQ. She’s a consultant to pastors and Christian leaders who are trying to establish connections with the LGBTQ community and to serve people in churches who struggle with sexual identity issues. Elizabeth is married to her husband, Doug, and is a pastor at Bethel Church in Redding, California. She holds a Master’s Degree in Theology.
